Act of Kindness: Sometimes you have the means to donate to charities, sometimes you don’t but you can always afford a smile or a compliment to a stranger. There were times when my son was in school and I was struggling with helping him be successful, working full time and dealing with in-laws that were ill when a smile from someone made a huge difference in how my day went. Ever since I have made a point of smiling at the people I pass as I go through my day. It’s free and you never know how much that person needs a friendly face and to feel like someone gives a flip if they exist or not. Unexpected compliments are another act of kindness that costs nothing. This morning I told a woman at Church that I’d been admiring her hair for weeks. Terri & I’s Mom and I have been walking at Lowes 3 mornings a week. The man in the picture I’m attaching never fails to give us a smile and encourage us in our walking. Not sure who initially smiled at whom but I know we brighten each other’s days.
How do you know Terri: When I was two my parents brought her home from the hospital. She’s my Sister!
Birthday Message to Terri: Happy Birthday Little Sister, I hope this is a wonderful wonderful year for you. I’m so glad we grew up to be friends, I’m sure Mom was doubtful it would ever happen, or for that matter if we’d both survive to adulthood much less the big 50…
