#61 Puppies Get Some Much Needed Loving

brenda

Act of Kindness: My daughter, Lina, and I went to the Humane Society of Williamson County and donated a dog bed and an extra large bag of food. Lina also donated some money she had made over the summer selling lemonade. We held a little puppy that needs a home; so sweet!! We tried to say hello to each pup and give it a little love and attention. We had a really fun time. It was hard to leave empty handed, but we decided to come back soon and help out.

How do you know Terri:  I know Terri from our Small Group at Hill Country Bible Church.

Birthday Message to Terri: I hope you have a great day and may God bless you extravagantly in the next 50!

#59 New Mom Gets Beauty Surprise

April

Act of Kindness: I have a friend who is sweet and kind and just had a new baby. While she thought she would be returning to work after maturity leave when the time came. Her job was no longer there, so money is tight. She as most women pay for some kind of beauty service, so I decided to pay for a service for her. So Diana will ask her to come into the shop and she will learn about her gift. So it’s still a secret…. and this will make her smile…
then I will smile and we will hug…and I’ll get to hold that sweet baby more and more….

How do you know Terri:  I met Terri when I started working for Austin Title back in June of 1998, I remember the time well. She reminds me all the time that we are a lot alike. I believe there are a lot of beautiful people in the world, but few have both outer and inner beauty like she does. She will tell me things like “its not what you say, but how you say it”..which is so true. I believe my life is richer knowing and having Terri in it. She along with a few others at work, allow me the pleasure of being open and honest about my belief in God and Jesus Christ and we can come together even at work in His name…I’m truly blessed to work with her. I love her

Birthday Message to Terri: Happy Happy Birthday to you sweet Terri,

I look forward to us working together in the company in the sky, where we can sing out our praise with a thousand angels, and no one will care, forever…XXOO

#58 A Gift Of Health & Happiness

Mary T

Act of Kindness: I was able to spread the gift health, fitness, and happiness to a fellow yogi at Black Swan Yoga. Black Swan is a donation based yoga studio where each person makes a contribution for each class that they attend. In the spirit of this Clandestine Operation and opportunity to perform an Act of Kindness, I tapped the girl in front of me to let her know that I would be making a donation on her behalf Thursday night. She was THRILLED! I don’t know what her name is, but we took a photo together to share. So glad to be apart of this and thanks for including me!

How do you know Terri:  Terri is the amazing VP of Escrow at the company that I work for – Independence Title.

Birthday Message to Terri:  Happiest Birthday to you, Terri! I am sure that your years abound with greatness, adventures, and moments of happiness. Thanks for all that you do and cheers to many more years 🙂

#57 Chrissy Gets A Much Needed Surgery

Traci

Act of Kindness: When we heard about this awesome celebration for Terri’s 50th birthday, we knew that we wanted to do something that helps animals. We know they are near and dear to Terri’s heart and ours, as well. We’ve contributed money to the Austin Pets Alive organization. We’re helping a dog named Chrissy get a much needed surgery. This experience has opened our eyes to the needs of animals in Austin and at that organization. We’re planning on making them our new “pet” project. 🙂

How do you know Terri:  I met Terri 13 or 14 years ago at Austin Title. We’ve worked together ever since then and it’s been a pleasure working with her and an even greater joy to have her as a friend.

Birthday Message to Terri:  Happy Birthday Terri!

We hope your year is filled with happiness, love and laughter.

Love,

Chica, Boone and Traci

#56 Sink & Tears Flowing – Neighbor To The Rescue

Cliff

Act of Kindness: Terri is always there to lend a hand to someone in need so when our neighbor Betty called in tears asking me to come over and help her with a problem, I went right on over. Turns out her roommate had managed to stop up the kitchen sink. When Betty tried to get it unplugged she knocked all the piping loose under her sink. I ended up spending two hours under the sink which is not easy for an old fat man. I had to remove the plumbing and clear the blockage while trying to counsel a highly emotional woman. Just about the time I’d start to get a handle on the repair, I’d have to stop and counsel her some more. I finally got the sink repaired the way it should have been in the first place and got Betty calmed down. I think Terri would have been proud of me.

How do you know Terri:  I know Terri as The Runt; she is after all much smaller than her sister, who happens to be my wife.

Birthday Message to Terri:  Happy Birthday Terri!  I’m looking forward to many more years of us putting up with each other.

#53 A Revived Body & Spirit

Van

Act of Kindness: This is Ally’s friend, John. He is really struggling physically & financially. He just got out of the hospital due to heart failure, & was pronounced dead for a short time. They were able to revive him & is now recovering slowly. Due to his condition, he’s not able to work temporarily, & is struggling to have food on the table.

When Ally told me these things, I knew I needed to help him. My son & I went to HEB and got him some groceries and delivered them to him today. He was in tears when he saw us with the bags of groceries. It was such a blessing to be able to help him. It truly is better to give than to receive! Thanks, Marjorie, for this wonderful idea of spreading kindness to others!!!

How do you know Terri:  I met Terri through our small group a few years back.

Birthday Message to Terri:

Terri,

You have played an important role in my life as a good friend, prayer warrior, & encourager. You played a key role in Tyffani’s life when she needed someone other than her mom to give advice, listen to, & mentor her spiritually. And for these things I am forever grateful! I love how you love the Lord and how His light shines through you and impact those who come in your path.

On this special day as we honor you by celebrating you & reflecting who you are which is selfless & so giving. I feel so privileged to be your friend & be a part of this wonderful celebration!

I thank my God every time I remember you. Phil 1:3

Happy 50th, my friend!!!!

Van

How do you know Terri:   I can remember her cute little face when she came home from the hospital.

Birthday Message to Terri:  Happy Birthday Little Girl!

I love you,
