Act of Kindness: A dear friend of mine had to take her daughter to the ER for a pretty serious issue and they believed that they were going to be stuck at the hospital late into the night. I took some breakfast food to their house and left it for them so that they would not have to worry about feeding themselves in the morning. I truly hope it was a blessing to them!
How do you know Terri: My husband, Russ, and I were in a small group with Terri and Kevin for a couple of years.
Birthday Message to Terri: My sweet friend! I have been blessed beyond measure to have you as a part of my journey. I truly believe that God hand-picked you “for such a time as this” in my life, at the time that we were in small group together. Thank you for your consistent honesty that is always tempered with grace….for your loyal friendship…for your generous spirit…for your wise advice…for your listening ear…for your humility…for your encouragement. I will forever be thankful for suppers at your house where we shared our hearts, transparently, and where we lifted EVERYTHING up to the Father.
I love how God uses people…the body of Christ…that are wired so differently to fill in gaps for each other or point out things that we may not see ourselves. I love morning coffee at Starbucks, games and long walks on retreats, and laughing AND crying (yes, CRYING) with each other. I love your efficiency…your straightforward way of dealing with things….your logical “blue” side (shall we call it ‘purple’?)…your hatred of technology….AND the fact that you clean up after me AS I cook!
I love, love, love how you delight in our God…in His awesome creation and in His good works!
I love YOU, Terri Morrison….and hope that our paths will forever cross until we get to that Day where we get to praise Him for eternity!
Much love,
Deb
P.S. I think you’re beautiful when you cry…just sayin’… 😉
